The St. Sebastian Knights of Columbus Council will again offer its Deacon Terry Peacock Scholarships to eligible eighth grade students in 2013.

These annual awards provide two $1000 scholarships, one for a boy and one for a girl, to help a parish student attend the Akron-area Catholic high school of his or her choice.

Eligible applicants are eighth grade children of parishioners at St. Sebastian attending the parish day school, Our Lady of the Elms, or who are enrolled in the PSR program. Applications will be available in the school office and at the KofC website (www.akronkofc.org) on Monday, December 17 and must be returned to the parish school office by Friday, January 11, 2013.

The Knight’s scholarship program was started in 1999 to honor Rev. Mr. Terry Peacock and his 25 years of service to St. Sebastian Parish.  Deacon Terry is a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He has served as Chaplin of Council 14255 since its founding in 2007.
